Privacy and safety
Built for honest answers
People answer honestly when they trust where their answers go. This page explains what Menlumin collects, how it’s protected, and what the AI will and won’t do.
What we collect
Only what the screening and your care need.
- Account details: email address, name and sign-in credentials.
- Screening answers: your responses to the ASSIST and ASI questions.
- Eye scan readings: pupil measurements from the optional scan.
- Lab reports: UDS reports you upload and the results taken from them.
- Recovery data: mood logs, notes and daily goals.
- Messages: conversations with Dr. Lumin and with your doctor.
- Technical data: browser type, anonymised IP address and session details.
How it’s protected
Encryption
Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit over TLS.
Role-based access
Patients, doctors and administrators only see the data their role allows.
Audit logging
Access to data is recorded for security monitoring.
Automatic sign-out
Idle sessions close on their own, which matters on shared devices.
Your rights
We never sell your personal data.
De-identified, aggregated data may be used to improve screening accuracy.
- Access: see all the data held about you.
- Export: download it in a machine-readable file.
- Correction: update or fix your personal details.
- Deletion: request permanent erasure. It’s completed within 30 days.
- Consent: withdraw consent for processing at any time.
How we use AI, and where it stops
AI helps interpret screenings, drafts clinical reports and powers Dr. Lumin, the AI counselor. Its output is advisory. Clinicians on Menlumin can review and correct AI interpretations, and the AI never diagnoses, prescribes or presents itself as a human doctor.
If you’re in crisis
Menlumin isn’t an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number now. In the United States you can call or text 988.
